Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Leah Robinson.
Hi Dr. Leah, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I never really knew for sure what I wanted to do in life. I had ideas, but I didn’t feel called to anything specifically and my interest were spread out all over the place. I got my Bachelor’s Degree in English and while I loved writing stories I didn’t see myself making a career out of it at the time. I started a Master’s program in Journalism, but COVID hit during my first semester and I never finished it because I didn’t feel called to it. That same year I learned about Chiropractic school and it felt like everything I had been looking for without realizing it. A career where I could work with people, it was in the health care field so I could help and serve people, and it was holistic which was the way I was living my life. Throughout my time in chiropractic school I learned more, grew more, and the more I fell into alignment with my career path the clearer my vision got. I am the child of two entrepreneurs, so I always knew I would build something of my own. Today, I am a Doctor of Chiropractic, founder and CEO of my own business ‘Leah4Living,’ and owner of my own chiropractic practice. I don’t have it all figured out, but I trust the process, and finding my way has been the most rewarding part of the journey.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It absolutely hasn’t been a smooth road. Nothing worth having ever is. What’s funny is that I truly thought it would be. For a long time, I assumed the path would be fairly straightforward, and I didn’t realize how much I would ultimately have to figure out on my own. Throughout school, I fully intended to open my practice through an organization that would handle most of the logistics, so I never thought deeply about the details. Right before it was time to begin training and sign contracts, my gut would not let me move forward. I knew I wanted to walk in faith and bet on myself.
That decision left me feeling alone at times, and suddenly I had to learn everything I had never planned for on my own. Finding office space and location, navigating buildouts, understanding business licenses and legal requirements, building community partnerships, and finding creative ways to market. I am very much a one person operation, and that can be overwhelming. But at every turn, God has made a way. Whether through the right resource, the right connection, or an unexpected opportunity, I have never been without support. The road hasn’t been smooth, but it has been purposeful.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Leah4Living is a holistic health and wellness brand rooted in alignment, longevity, and sustainable lifestyle change. At its core, my work centers on chiropractic care and helping people understand how daily habits impact their nervous system. My background as a Doctor of Chiropractic, fitness trainer, and wellness coach allows me to take a whole body approach that integrates foundational elements of health rather than addressing any one area in isolation. What I specialize in is helping people address the root cause of their symptoms and discomfort. Whether through chiropractic care, wellness coaching, or community based fitness experiences, my goal is always the same. To help people feel more connected to their bodies and confident in how they care for themselves. What sets Leah4Living apart is that the brand is built on education, intention, and lived experience. I focus on helping people understand their nervous system, movement patterns, and lifestyle habits so they can make informed decisions about their health. I am most proud that the brand feels honest, grounded, and aligned with how I actually live my life. Leah4Living is about creating a lifestyle that supports longevity, balance, and trust in your body, and a community to support each other through our health journeys. Everything I offer is designed to help people build a healthier relationship with themselves, one step at a time.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
The first thing is, follow your dreams. If you have a dream, vision, or goal pressing on your heart it’s there for a reason. Find people doing what you want to do, people that inspire you, and people you can learn from- get in the room with them. Emulate their habits. Ask questions. No matter where you are in life or who you’re around ask questions! You can learn something from anyone, and no question is stupid. If you don’t know something don’t allow that to make you feel small- ask the question so that next time you know, and you’re prepared. Plan your work and work your plan. A professor of mine said on the first day of class at Chiro school “Do the work and it will happen.” Simply put, it’s the truth.
Map the plan on how to achieve your goals by getting in the room and asking questions, then put your head down and work. Shut off all the outside noise and get laser focused. In the beginning, it is just you and your belief in what you are building until you make it happen.
