Meet Dr. Natalia Fuller of MindBodySex in Sandy Springs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Natalia Fuller.

Dr. Fuller, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
MindBodySex was founded after I graduated from medical school in 2018. I finally had time to combine my two passions. Sex therapy and psychiatry. In my early twenties, before starting medical school, I completed my master’s in science in clinical psychology. During medical school, I took courses related to human sexuality and sex counseling.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s definitely been obstacles along the way. I’ve never been a person that enjoyed school. I’ve always enjoyed learning but never felt school was for me. So I struggled in medical school for the 1st year because I wasn’t sure if I belonged. I wasn’t confident at that time about my ability to succeed. Doctors always seemed like geniuses in my opinion. Once I started to give 100% and study efficiently, everything changed. I realized I encompassed the mental stamina to endure all obstacles.

Please tell us about MindBodySex.
I see counseling as a collaborative relationship that moves individuals along the path to empowerment and self-awareness. I am deeply committed to helping clients focus on their goals and build on existing strengths to cope with challenges in a safe, open, and non-judgmental environment. I focus on a holistic approach to treatment, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body relationship and the overall effects that thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and our environment have on our life experiences. My work supports individuals in developing a deeper understanding and connection with themselves, stronger, more fulfilling relationships with others, and overall life balance and satisfaction strengthened by positive mental and emotional health.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Become someone’s housewife! Lol. I’m joking. My journey has been so unique and fulfilling that I wouldn’t change a single thing. Every professional and personal obstacle has helped mold me into the physician and woman I am today. One of my favorite quotes is If it were easy, everybody would do it. Hard is what makes it great.” — Tom Hanks, A League Of Their Own.
