Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Neil Berman.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
When I was 16 years old, I was involved in a head-on car accident. My head hit the windshield and even cracked the glass, about 1 yr. later starting having tingling sensations on my neck, traditional medicine was not helping so my brother brought me to a chiropractor. Within 1 month my symptoms started to go away and I started to feel normal again. I loved getting adjusted and in my mind I knew one day I wanted to be a Chiropractor. Well I continued to see chiropractors for the next 16yrs, realizing that if I got sick or injured I would heal 2x faster than traditional medicine. After earning my Bachelor degree in Exercise science I moved to Georgia to attend Life University and get my Chiropractic degree. After being here for 2yrs I realized I was not going to move back to south Florida (where I am from) and I wanted to raise my children in Georgia, which has a much better Atmosphere to raise children. I had previous experience in running a business so I knew I wanted to learn the Chiropractic business as quick as possible so I could open up on my own and make an impact on my community.
After interning for 2yrs, I opened my own office and decided to specialize in auto accident patients. At Berman Chiropractic & Rehab we offer chiropractic, medical, physical therapy modalities and massage therapy. We work with most local attorneys and take care of our injured patients at no out of pocket cost to them.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, at 21yrs. old I completely lost my voice and had to go through a series of surgeries, 1 every 2-3 months for 18 months. All this while in school and working a full time job.
After completing Chiropractic College, it was a challenge to open up a practice in the Marietta area, considering the school is right around the corner, But I always said, “If you can make it here in Marietta, you can make it anywhere.”
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Berman Chiropractic & Rehab story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in auto accident injuries, work with all attorneys on a lien basis so there is no out of pocket cost to the patients. We offer Chiropractic, medical, physical therapy modalities and massage therapy on site. What sets us apart from other offices is that we take our time with each individual patient to give them the care they need to get better as fast as possible. No one waits in our waiting room more than 10 mins to get back and start their treatment and usually it is less than 5 mins. We want each person to have a memorable experience while here, there is nothing worse than having to go to a place for 4-12 weeks and not like where you are going. We live by the motto “The difference between good and great? 1 more step!” and we always try to go that extra step so the patient is satisfied with their care.

No, it’s all about making good choices and working hard. You have to love what you do, then it’s not really work. I have been doing this for over 16 years and I still get a kick out of getting people better.
