Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Trudy Simmons.
Dr. Simmons, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After years of struggling with my own issues, I decided it was time to help those in need with what I had gone through and learned. I had a thriving fitness business for 15 years but really felt that the Lord was wanting me to train the body and the mind which lead me to receive my Ph.D. in Counseling. I’ve been counseling for ten years now. In addition, I started a show called Every Day Living with Dr. Trudy which ran for two years before I started The Christian View. The Christian View is not on over 15 different networks around the world. I love sharing hope and biblical options to those in need.
Has it been a smooth road?
Life is never a smooth road. The bible says in John 16:33, ” I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world”.
I have struggled with most of the issues I teach, speak and counsel on. I know what it is is like to be rejected and broken. I know what it is like to wait on your ministry, business to be successful. I know what it is like to push through those hard times until you see the breakthrough you have been praying for.
Life is never easy, but those who persevere will see the fruit of their labor.

Yes, I have two separate ministries type businesses. I run a nonprofit media ministry call The Christian View. We take today’s hot topics and weight them against the word of God. In doing so, we offer biblical guidelines and truth to everyday situations.
My second ministry/business is a counseling and coaching business. With this ministry I offer counseling to those in need. Whether it is marriage, youth or trauma. I offer hope and a biblical option for life issues. Offering freedom and encouragement.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I have two ministry type of business. One is a Christian TV Show that is filmed out of Atlanta but is viewed around the world. The other one is a Counseling/Coaching/Speaking business. I find the Atlanta area to a very good place to start up any business. You just need to have the right mindset and goals to push through those hard times.
