Meet Dylan Brown of Ball Ground Burger Bus

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Brown.

Dylan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have been a restaurant manager and district manager for over 23 years. I have always had a vision for owning and operating my own place, and in 2015 I took a leap of faith and moved from Texas to Georgia to open the Ball Ground Burger Bus.

With the help of my father’s design and my mother’s recipes, we created the Ball Ground Burger Bus. My wife and I are a team, and together we operate the restaurant. We grind our meat fresh in-house daily, and we make our own sauces, and we even make our own pickles!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Always bumps or ups and downs, but they are my bumps and ups and downs, so the sense of pride outweighs the bumps and the downs. I love what I do, and the challenges that come with being an owner/operator in the food industry. This is not for everyone, and it is many many long hard shifts, but the end result is worth all that hard work!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ball Ground Burger Bus – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are known for our craft burgers and brews. We don’t use frozen meat ever! We cut and grind our meat in-house daily and use a blend of chuck, brisket, and bacon. We make all of our own sauces including our famous 1386 sauce, and we even make our own pickle (Prohibition Pickles) and soak them in gin!

We are also known for our craft beer, which we try to carry as many local great beers as possible!

I am most proud of the over 800 5 star reviews we have because it’s the feedback of our customers telling us we are doing it right! What sets us apart, is we don’t tolerate inconsistency. We are consistent, and we always strive for the 5-star experience!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our plans are to continue to serve the wonderful town of Ball Ground and to eventually open more locations in North Georgia.
