Meet Dylan Dëzzy of Augusta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Dëzzy.

Hi Dylan , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well 3 years ago all I was just a dude with a dream. I walked to a vape store that I use to go to all the time and there was a friend who worked behind the counter at that time. During this moment I was talking to my friend behind the counter about how I wanted to be a dj/producer. She told me that her boyfriend at the time had a whole DJ set up at his house and invited me to come over and jam out. Well that following Sunday i come over all excited to learn and being able to do something that I was really passionate about. That night me and him stayed up till 6 in the morning just djing our hearts out. Well more like him djing his heart out while I stand there looking like a noob lol. Every Sunday I was over there practicing over and over and over again. For 6 solid months of going over there and practicing I finally got my first opportunity. It was a Halloween event and what made it even better that my first gig was on my birthday. By far the best birthday gift I could ever ask for. Ever since that night for the first time I threw down live in front of a crowd was one of the best feelings I’ve felt in a long time. Finally felt like I had a purpose. Fast forward to today, I’m currently making waves here in the local scene trying to bring a new taste of music to Augusta

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was smooth in the beginning but it’s definitely been a bumpy road. Life sometimes gets in the way and makes it hard for me to do things sometimes but that’s okay. No matter how hard life gets I always tell myself to keep pushing no matter the circumstances.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in mainly tearout dubstep however I basically play every from rap, hip hop and r&b to house, dnb, trance and more. What set me apart from everyone else is my flawless transition, doubles and possible triples hitters. When people see my name on the lineup they know they’re in for a treat. Also I do weddings in the side

What was your favorite childhood memory?
In 2013 I heard Skrillex for the first time when he dropped his scary monster and nice sprite album. I remember during that time when I was watching him on YouTube and seeing him on stage just made want to do it more and more. I even pretended to be a DJ while having his sets play in the back ground.
