Today we’d like to introduce you to E. Danielle Butler.
E. Danielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember. Writing was a fun space, a safe haven and a healing sanctuary for me. In 2014, I published my first book. Disaster! It was very different coming from behind the scenes with no experience or expectations. By 2017, I was ready to start again, this time from a different angle.
After another independent publishing experience, I released my children’s book series, The Adventures of Zoe & Zachary, on my own indie imprint, EvyDani Books. I also published a devotional for moms. For the past two years, I have partnered with authors on delivering more than ten books with three titles in the works for 2019 release! I’ve met some incredible people and help share some unbelievable stories!
Has it been a smooth road?
Becoming an independent publisher has been quite a challenging, yet rewarding journey. Some of the struggles that I faced included securing adequate funding and learning the best practices of an entirely different industry. There were moments of doubt of whether I was following the right path and working with the right people to make the big picture vision a reality.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with EvyDani Books – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
EvyDani Books is an independent publishing and public relations company based in metro Atlanta. Our focus is on the publication of books by emerging authors and leaders, particularly people of color. Our mission is to help independent voices craft, tell and share their stories through clear, concise and compelling communication. The primary genres of EvyDani Books are devotionals, journals, memoirs and children’s works. EvyDani Books’ services include content strategy & creation, ghostwriting, author coaching and publishing.
We are most proud of our success as home to best-selling children’s book series, The Adventures of Zoe & Zachary. We have shared our stories with more than 1K kids in Georgia for school visits and meet the author opportunities. Allowing children to see themselves reflected in the literature they read continues to be a driving force behind our commitment to diversity.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity of Atlanta! We’re unmatched in talent and opportunities for exposure. I can learn and exchange ideas and values with others with something as simple as a walk down the street.
I’m sure I join many in saying that the traffic situation is ridiculous. For me, it’s discouraging on many levels.
