Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Murray.
Hi Ebony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My love for cooking started when I was a freshman in high school, taking a Culinary Arts class. I loved the class so much that I completed the pathway by my junior year. I have always been surrounded by family who can cook, my parents owned two restaurants when I was younger.
I have always been a creative type of gal, just never had the thought that I would enjoy the service of cooking so much.
My Instagram (@bellyfullbyebony) started as a food blog in 2018. I would make dinner for my family and share the process on my page. In 2020, I began selling chocolate-covered strawberries for Valentine’s Day. Not much longer after that, I began getting requests for catering and private dining!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think the most challenging thing has been getting over “Imposter’s Syndrome”. I have accomplished so much and my business has grown significantly and sometimes I have to pinch myself because it seems unreal!
I have learned to value myself and my business so much over the last two and a half years. This has caused my business to be respected. A lot of people don’t realize I am so young, only until they see me and are baffled by the way I run my business in such an excellent manner.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am by nature a servant. I am a licensed practical nurse working in the specialty of pediatrics. In addition, I own a luxury catering and private dining service.
I am most proud of my opportunity working with Porscha Williams, as I catered her 2021 family Christmas dinner!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is my overall success. I not only want to be financially abundant, but I also desire to eventually have my own family to share love and wisdom with, as I have had the privilege to have growing up.
