Meet Eddie Jones of Jonesway Entertainment in North East Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eddie Jones.

Eddie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started singing at a very young age. Growing up, we had a computer with a microphone that had recording capabilities. My dad would always record me singing Usher’s “Nice and Slow” and through that, I found my love, joy, and passion for singing. I entered in a lot of talent shows and won most of them, then at the age of thirteen my Dad bought me recording software and turned our computer room into a studio. I locked myself in the studio and recorded day and night putting out multiple projects while in high school. Fast forward a couple of years later, I released my debut album “Topic of Discussion” and my single of off the project landed me on Billboard and gained me a distribution deal with Universal Music Group.

I had the pleasure of opening up for many major acts as well as my own sold out shows. I love being on stage, it gives me such a rush to give the fans an amazing show that they can never forget. I like to pride myself on saying that no Eddie Jones is the same, the fans receive a different experience every show. Following the success of my debut album “Topic of Discussion” I left my then label and management and I relocated to Atlanta, GA. I then released my EP “ENZO” independently in 2018 giving my fans my true, edgy, sexy, and cool side of myself that they’ve never seen or heard. “ENZO” did amazing on streaming and brought me many more fans and much success from all over.

On September 21st, 2019 I dropped my second studio album “921” and through the help of my publicist the album has been receiving major attention from the media. Through my music, I share my real-life experiences, each song tells a different story. My music is very relatable, In some songs you’ll get the I’m so in love vibe, then the next you’ll get the grown and sexy, and even the swaggy GQ dude. I’m glad God has blessed me with such a talent and I’ll never take it for granted if I can reach one person with my songs and have them feel what I was feeling when I made the song then thats a win in my book.

Congrats on 921 – hoping its your most successful release yet. We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So far, it has been a smooth road but of course there are challenges along the way. Some challenges I’ve experienced were a lot of management issues. Since moving to ATL you’ll find as lot of people are talk, a lot of empty promises and bad business. Another challenge I’ve experienced was choosing the right label to sign with, I’ve had many label deals offered to me but finding the right fit is what has hindered me from signing anything and remaining independent. Other than those issues I’ve had a smooth road in the industry, I am continuing to build relationships, drop more music with my creative control, gain more exposure, perfecting my craft, and learning the business in-depth.

Let’s talk business. Please tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I am my own company, I am a brand, I am a business. I am a man of many talents whether it be acting, directing, playing basketball, etc. but my specialty of course is in the music. I write my own songs, record myself, direct my own videos, and choreograph my own shows. I am most proud of how self-efficient I am and how far I’ve come doing all of this independently. My determination and vision for myself sets me apart from others, I set goals and achieve them with no excuses. Being independent is great because if I fail, it’s because of me and if I prevail its also because of me too!

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to achieve success on a larger scale, becoming a household name amongst the legends, and to leave my mark on the world. There’s so much I have planned that I am looking forward too buts thats under wraps for now, big changes are coming…stay tuned!
