Today we’d like to introduce you to Elaine Sterling.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Guts…that is how I started. I wanted to start a beauty revolution through education. I wanted the community to know that a career in the beauty industry meant something that it was a choice. I had 2 divorces, 2 children, and breast cancer. I wanted to stand for something to help women look and feel beautiful at any age. I was born in South Africa but lived in Australia, Taiwan, and America. A global nomad with a purpose. This is my calling to teach students how to touch people’s lives with their hands and their hearts.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggle upon struggle but I wanted to walk where angels fear to tread. Most of my hardships were self-inflicted but I have learned many lessons and want to help people by tapping into their talent. My bad marriages, health struggles which include spinal meningitis, balls palsy and cancer have taught me to live in the moment and strive for excellence in everything I do in my life. I know through education I can help many explore their dreams. My legacy I hope will include many graduates finding success in the industry that I love.
