Elisha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a lover of brunch and a devoted traveler, I loved trying new restaurants and cuisines. Atlanta is one of the entertainment Mecca’s of the southeastern United States, and with the entertainment boom comes new opportunities to cater to women and men who want to fellowship with their friends while indulging in fabulous cuisines and sipping bottomless mimosas! My husband, and I created this app to complement the city’s brunch culture accordingly. Hence, the mobile application, Brunch Hunch was born!
Although I’m new to the Atlanta seen, my husband, Chris Currie lived in Atlanta for several years and is a graduated of Towers High School in Decatur, GA. He was able to introduce me to some of the best restaurants in the area. I must say, “Atlanta has some of the best food I’ve ever tasted!”
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Our path towards creating and launching Brunch Hunch has been a true learning experience. One of the biggest lessons learned involved creating an effective marketing strategy. We decided to focus on raising awareness about Brunch Hunch through reaching out to social media influences. The most important lesson learned while we were searching for influences was to never become discouraged when people ignored our messages. We always held firm in our belief that despite the fact that not everyone was receptive to Brunch Hunch’s mission, our app was definitely a product that consumers could appreciate.

Our company (Brunch Hunch) is a free brunch finder mobile app created specifically for brunch lovers! Our mobile application is the first free mobile app developed specifically for people who enjoy brunch and the brunch culture. Brunch Hunch lists the top brunch restaurants based on your current location anywhere in the world!!! It also offers pricing options for its users!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are firm believers of destiny; each one of us has a prophecy that we are destined to fulfill in our lifetime. Some people realize their destiny early in life, while others never come to the realization. My husband and I are very fortunate to have realized that our destiny is centered around growing as tech leaders in order to inspire other young men and women to pursue a similar path. While many people hear the word “tech” and think that they must be able to build mobile apps from scratch using code, the truth of the matter is that as long as you have a “big picture” mindset, you can find the right role that fits your personality accordingly. There are roles for every different skill set in the IT industry!
