Today we’d like to introduce you to Elodia Green (Atlanta Glow Queen).
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Welcome to The Glow Movement. When I first became an Esthetician, I didn’t know it would change my life the way it did. I originally went to school to become a Forensic Scientist. The school I went to lost its accreditation and I was forced to start over I was told about being an Esthetician from a good friend of mine Kyna she has just finished school and said I think you would love to do this. So I went for it. Little did I know five years later I would have an entire movement. When I first finished school, I worked for many different Spa in the Atlanta area. I worked at a small boutique salon and so really well-known places as well. That wasn’t enough for me. These well-known company’s just wanted to make money. I wanted to change lives. July 2017, I left the corporate spa world and jumped out on faith. When I tell you I was scared that’s an understatement. Would people follow me. Can I really become a business owner.
Just four weeks later. I opened up Zentifulbeauty August 11th, 2017 I had just $5000. Nothing more nothing less. My mom gave me this money and said make your dream come true. From that day forward, I said I can either sink or swim. I started off in a 400sqf room of Clairmont Rd, it was perfect. I would always talk about how I wanted a bigger space in five years and that once I grow out of this space, I will have my own shop. Little did I know God was like haha five years let’s just say a year and three months later I opened up THE GLOW HOUSE. I went from 400sqf to 1125sqft and I was shocked. I cried for days. Building a brand on social media is hard; I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing influencers and people. They seen that this was my passion and has supported me thru it all. My greatest thank you is to all my Glow Babies which are my clients I know services over 200-300 clients I’m the Metro Atlanta area. It’s such a blessing. I always say you never know what God has planned for you until you jump out on faith. I always say SHOOT FOR THE STARS AND IF YOU MISS GET BACK UP AND SHOOT AGAIN. YOU JUST DONT KNOW YOU MAY LAND ON A STAR. Welcome to The Glow Movement.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I wish it was a smooth road. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. Just a lil bit over a year after being open I was told the building I was in had mold and I had to be out in two weeks. I had no we’re to go and a full schedule in less then two weeks my family and boyfriend helped me search high and low for my new location. My boyfriend actually found it on Craigslist. I had given up on looking but he kept looking and found a gem in the fire. I rally up my family and close friends and they had me out my old space and into my new space in 1hr, I can’t thank them enough. I moved my shop and that’s were The Glow House came to life.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Zentiful Beauty and Spa – what should we know?
My business is Zentiful Beauty and Spa I am a Skincare Clinic. I specialize in corrective Skin using Natural products. My #1 product line at zentifulbeauty is Skinscript Rx it’s an amazing product for all skin types and tones. What I am the most proud of is how I have changed so many people lives with my hands there my bread and butter. I love all things Skincare. What sets me apart from other Esthetician is my true passion and for healthy glowing skin. I created The Glow Movement for my Clients to show that you don’t need makeup to feel pretty. My mom (Elodia Murry) is my number one everything. Without her zentiful wouldn’t even be this amazing Skincare bar. My Amazing Family to see how proud they are of me warms my heart they support me 1000%.
My amazing friends I have so many I can’t name. They listen to my problem. They make me laugh and they got me thru some rough times.
My amazing Boyfriend (Jamar Dye) honestly I had given up on love before I met him. He has truly come into my life and made me a better woman as well. I don’t know what I would do without Him.
