Today we’d like to introduce you to Emiliane Youte, MSW.
Emiliane, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I am the author of Calling All Singles, Falling In love with Ruth before BOAZ. In my book, I help women find their purpose in their single season with telling my personal story. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work with a concentration of Mental Health. I work at a rehabilitation clinic which specializes in helping individuals reach sobriety. I fell in love which fitness when I was fighting suicidal ideations and depression. I started Diamonds Fit in January 2020 with a motto, “You’re Unbreakable.” as representation of my personal walk with depression and fitness.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Has it been a smooth road? HECK NO! My first year of entrepreneurship has opened my eyes in various ways. I have encountered a lot of people who tried to take advantage of me in regards to overpricing, I’ve lost MANY associates along the way. During the pandemic, I’ve lost some customers due to shipment and inventory shortage. I wanted to quit, but somehow I kept going. I carried DIAMONDS FIT on back, that’s why it’s my baby.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Diamonds Fit story. Tell us more about the business.
Diamonds Fit was established in January 2020. I started this company with the motto, “You’re UNBREAKABLE.” I utilized fitness to help me fight suicidal ideations and depression. As an overcomer, I wanted to start a company that models resiliency. I wanted women from all different walks of life and various sizes to have access to waist training. Diamonds Fit waist trainers ranges from sizes XS-9X. Waist training aids with posture while helping your mid-section reach a slimmer appearance. I was very intentional regarding my inventory because I knew that various companies didn’t sell waist trainers in 9X. Another key item that Diamonds Fit sells are the 14-day detox tea program which aids with stomach slimming and cleansing. In addition to inventory, Diamonds Fit also has apparel, booty lifters, and arm trimmers to aid with.
Diamonds Fit is a lifestyle. It is a continuous reminder that an individual cannot be BROKEN despite of what the trials and tribulations that individuals may be facing. We provide personal training and monthly fitness challenges to aid with consistency. As the CEO of Diamonds Fit, it is my mission to implement resiliency and perseverance in the fitness industry. In Summer 2021 Diamonds Fit will have it’s very own Fitness Conference. This is where fitness merges with personal development. This conference will have classes to aid with personal development and Diamonds Fit’s very own Boot Camp.
As the CEO of Diamonds Fit, I truly believe that this company will reach individuals that are not only trying to reach their fitness goals but who are looking to grow personally. When I received my Masters in Social Work, I truly believed that I was created to help others.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t believe luck. I believe in you reap what you sow. I faced a lot of adversity in my life to help the next individual to make it over to the other side of depression. I believe I had to go through it in order to be a useful counselor/ CEO. Year to date, Diamonds Fit has sold over 2,000 products in 16 states in the US. Despite of the hiccups, I wouldn’t trade year one of entrepreneurship for nothing. I’ve learned so much about myself and others.
