Today we’d like to introduce you to Emmanuel Brooks.
Emmanuel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started photography when I was in high school. I would always be found taking photos at a family function, church event or just got out with friends. I’ve always loved the art behind photography, how a photo can tell a story of a thousand words. About two years ago I decided to step out and start my own photography business! It has been one of the greatest challenges in my life but I absolutely love It. Being able to create memories for my clients that last a lifetime! Taking a photo and making it a visual artwork! Photography is not only one of my jobs but it’s a passionate hobby of mines that I forever enjoy doing.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely came with its challenges! Learning how to start a business and scale a business correctly, How to market myself and get my work out there. The biggest challenge for me was overcoming the mindset that it was okay NOT to be like everyone else in this industry. Learning how to step out of my comfort zone and try new things while still creating content that continues to tell a story behind it.

I am the owner & head photographer of Project Joseph Photography by Emmanuel. I specialize in Lifestyle & Portrait photography along with Engagements, Newborns, Senior, and Family Portraits. I continue to be blown away by the love and support of my clients! Their love of the photos ( Visual Art ) that I create for them from the vision they give me is so inspiring to continue this journey! I separate myself by creating content that has natural elements, light and skin tones.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have not waited so long to start my photography business!
