Thanks for sharing your story with us Erica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Bodied by E literally started as a note in my journal. I always knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur but never knew which business I wanted to start or which route to take. I seen these services on Instagram one day and instantly grew to be SO interested in it. November 2018, I started researching and writing down everything I needed to know about the business and finally completed the training in March 2019 after putting it off for months. Even after that, I kept doubting myself and doubting if I was ready to take on this new lifestyle. It wasn’t until shortly after I quit my full-time job after being harassed, that pushed me to get things done. I took my time with getting everything I needed in place and August 1, 2019, was the start of Bodied by E. I’m still not where I want to be of course but I’m well on my way!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road and I knew upfront it wouldn’t be. Honestly, if it was going to be easy, it wouldn’t be worth it. I would have to say my main struggle has been the financial part of it. Everything I make so far has been invested back into my business somehow or my personal life. I went from getting a set direct deposit every other Friday to not knowing if I’ll even get paid as much tomorrow because I may not have as many appointments as I had the day before or last week. However, with God behind me, I know I won’t fail. I just keep pushing!
Bodied by E – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Bodied by E is a non-surgical, non-invasive body sculpting business that specializes in removing stubborn fat, contouring the body, reducing cellulite, enhancing the buttocks, as well as detoxing toxins. I’m most proud as a company to be able to make women or even men feel better about their bodies without having to result to surgery. Not that there is anything wrong with surgery but most people aren’t willing to undergo those processes or able to afford the surgical process. Some people really believe in staying natural and I am here to give them that alternate natural option.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the results that my business will give out. It’s not all about money and being known for me. My clients are trusting me to give them results with their bodies and great customer service. If I am always giving both, as well as staying true to myself, the money and being known throughout the beauty industry will come. So right now, I am making sure that I take care and appreciate what I have now so that as I grow, I will always remain true to myself and what my business believes in.
