Today we’d like to introduce you to Erik Lingvall.
Erik, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I went from carrying around lights and a camera in the back of my car to film auditions for people at their houses, to leasing a small studio with not even one real taping room, to our location now which is a custom built (by my amazing wife) two-story studio space with 3 soundproofed taping rooms.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Is it ever a smooth road? Just like any business we have faced obstacles and tackled them with everything we have in hopes of creating our dream. We have known a few different places as “home” before our permanent space that we are in now. We have worked so hard to ensure that the environment we have created is one that is inviting and nurturing to creative people like us!
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Catapult Acting Studios – what should we know?
We are an acting studio and we specialize in audition taping, private coaching, workshops, classes and basically anything an actor needs.
We offer Industry Consultations for our new clients to help them get started and moving in the right direction. We even offer demo reel editing and headshots!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Optimism. Life will throw every curve ball your way and you have to be prepared to face it in a positive way. Negativity just makes the hard times harder.
