Today we’d like to introduce you to Eugenia Lartey-Attigah.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Eugenia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my journey in 2009. I was working two part-time jobs and God spoke to me about quitting my jobs to go to college full time. Initially, I was scared and confused because I have always had a job. I had a support system that believed in me. I prayed and I am in a career that is fulfilling and I love doing it! I am passionate about showing others how to tap into their God-given gifts and talents.
Has it been a smooth road?
I had several obstacles in my way. I was told by my mother and friend that not to pursue my dreams. I was told, “A man who does not work don’t eat.” I was even told by a former supervisor that I had to choose between working at Walmart or go back to school. I was only working four hours a day. I was trying to do it my way. God had to take everything that I was familiar with to show me his plan for my life.

I have a private outpatient mental health counseling center. I specialize in Work-Life Balance, Work Stress, Depression, Anxiety, Unresolved Grief from Trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Advocate for children needing 504/IEP accommodations in the public school system, and Family Counseling.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is an amazing city to start a business. There are plenty of individuals to connected with to grow your business. There is a market for your brand. Everyone has a niche, something that people need. Therefore, I am aware of the competition, but I am an experience. I have no competition, in my opinion, because I know my lane. If I am unable to assist a client, I referred to someone I know can help them.
