Faith, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My journey into natural and organic living began once I became a mom. I am a wife and mother of four active and healthy children aged 12, 7 and a set of three-year-old twins. When my oldest child was about to begin preschool, I started searching for more natural and organic alternatives to aid in our family’s health and wellness.
Once I became a mother of two, I studied more about natural remedies and it was around this time that I was introduced to elderberries. Elderberries are known for their powerful antiviral properties and can be brewed like tea and sweetened with honey to create a natural remedy called elderberry syrup. I looked at many elderberry syrup recipes and started working with various medicinal herbs to create my own signature blend. Once I found the right combination of herbs, our family rarely got sick. If we did, the sickness tended to be very mild and short-lived.
As we experienced the amazing benefits of my Signature Elderberry Syrup, we began sharing with friends. One friend in particular, is a teacher with three young children who sampled the syrup and paid for a jar on the spot. After using my syrup with great success through the cold and flu season, she shared that neither she nor her children missed any school days due to being sick. In the past, she used a lot of sick days to take care of her children and spent hundreds in doctor bills. This experience encouraged me to take the leap and start Faith’s Signature Organics.
Beginning Faith’s Signature Organics was an exciting growth experience. We started with two product lines. Alongside the development of my elderberry syrup, I created facial and body scrubs using the ingredients of organic cane sugar, sea salt, grapeseed oil and therapeutic essential oils.
I’d been making scrubs for my family for years as a natural gift to give to their coworkers during the holidays. We started with those natural products selling them at community fairs and online and added our third product Faith’s Soothing Throat Spray 6 weeks after opening.
Faith’s Soothing Throat Spray is a herbal glycerite created to support the immune system while on the go. As an aspiring herbalist, I wanted to create and offer another immune-supporting product that would be shelf-stable. Customers love the spray and several have shared that this product decreased their sore throat symptoms in a matter of minutes.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Deciding to become an entrepreneur was the easy part. All of the work and dedication needed to become successful has been tough. After working on establishing a social media presence, I eventually stumbled upon local artist markets where I was able to do table setups to sell my products. My first set up was a huge success and confidence booster. I participated in several artist markets throughout the holidays allowing me to gain more exposure. Things were going really well as I was preparing for spring artist markets when COVID hit. At that point, all markets were canceled and sales slowed down significantly. In response to all of this, I had to put more focus on thinking outside of the box and working harder on establishing my online presence.

I started Faith’s Signature Organics in November of 2019 with the purpose of providing families with natural alternatives to support their immune health. We specialize in immune support and skincare products. What sets us apart are our signature product blends. We put a lot of thought and care into our product lines, from our use of organic ingredients all the way to the product making process.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I always wanted to do great in school, to get straight A’s. I was an introvert with a core group of friends. I now realize that I was/am very creative. I never really considered myself a leader. As I got older, I became more social.
