Today we’d like to introduce you to Faith Brooks.
Faith, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My love of makeup and hair styling began with a life-sized Barbie doll head. We used a vice to attach it to the kitchen table. Growing up in Atlanta, with a vibrant club scene, we would transform ourselves into characters to go out.
I imagine this began my love of collaborating with other creatives. I began “painting” models for photographers and assisting established makeup and hair artists. Eventually, a photographer gave me the chance to be lead artist. My career has taken me all over the globe and allowed me to meet such amazing people. I will always love the feeling of creating in the beauty, advertising, commercial, fashion, and online content industries.
Has it been a smooth road?
I feel the greatest challenge is to carry on and keep your goals in mind. There have been periods of ebb and flow. Believing in your self and your skills, even when this crazy cyclical industry makes you insecure. Continuing your education in the lean times works for me. It’s all worth it, to have this wonderful career.

I’m a makeup artist and hair stylist. Clean, natural beauty is my favorite look. However, I enjoy collaborating with, producers, creative directors, art directors, photographers, wardrobe and set stylists, and film directors to create the desired look. I’m very proud and grateful that these people trust me to help bring their vision to life.

Atlanta has more opportunity than ever before. This is the place to be. There’s plenty of work for everyone. Keep improving on the “City that’s too busy to hate”!
