Meet Fatou Mboob of Gambian Goddess

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fatou Mboob.

Fatou, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Modeling has always been my passion since when I was a little goddess, I remember I would watch fashion shows and how the models would walk and then I would also start to mimic them and even how they would pose for the camera. But when I was growing up, I didn’t really try to pursue modeling even though I loved it so much. However, one thing that I’ve always known and like to also do was acting, so I was part of the school drama club where I was attending at, and we would compete with other schools and win prizes that is why am so dramatic sometimes is just in me lol. When I moved to Atlanta, I would get so many compliments about how beautiful my body and skin is, and would ask me if am a model, so I said to myself I think this is the perfect time for you to begin this exciting, adventurous, and extravaganza dream of yours so a year later I started to pursue modeling. I will say it was hard in the beginning because nobody really supported me or took me serious including few family members and friends, but I kept pushing forward no matter the circumstances knowing that this is what I want and in other for me to get it am going to have to push through. I wouldn’t say I have got to where I wanna be yet, because I still want to be able to inspire other people like me and young girls who have big dreams and want to pursue them but don’t have the courage to do so. So let’s just say we on the way up.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not! I remember people would contact me to do a shoot for them and would not compensate me or I would walk the runway for their shows and wouldn’t get paid. But the most important part about it was, I was doing it for the love and not for the money.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I consider myself as a model, and an actress and I can basically do anything that includes entertainment except singing or raping lol I suck when it comes to that end. What sets me apart from others is I have such a unique bubbly and outgoing personality that anybody that I have work with or come in contact with loves and builds a great relationship with me from the get-go and that tells a lot about who I am as a person.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Honestly, success has so many definitions in so many categories. However in my own words, I would say being able to inspire and motivate people live happily and abundantly with no regrets. and still build an empire that will grow and help others in so many different ways.
