Today we’d like to introduce you to Felix Zuniga.
Hi Felix, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into cutting hair started unexpectedly when I was in high school. One day, my best friend asked me to cut his hair. I gave it a shot, and before I knew it, he kept coming back. With every cut, I got better. Word spread, and what started as helping out a friend slowly became something I was passionate about.
As my skills grew, I eventually began working in a hair salon, where I learned the importance of professionalism, customer service, and discipline within the industry. Not long after, I transitioned into a barbershop, where I spent six years refining my craft, learning from experienced barbers, and fully immersing myself in barber culture.
While working in the barbershop, I made the decision to attend barber school. I graduated, earned my Masters on Barbering and got my barber license. that milestone opened doors I never imagined. My work led me to cut hair for Atlanta United players, other national teams, and even a well-known Mexican rapper, Alemán & world known Tyler Carter. Have cut celebrity Luke Parker from reality TV show Bachelorette. These experiences confirmed that barbering could take me far beyond the chair.
Eventually, I took a leap of faith and opened my own business EB Barbershop, which stands for El Barbero (The Barber) shortened. EB has now been open for five years. Beyond the shop, I’ve remained committed to expanding my impact and giving back to the community. I’ve taught barber classes at local hair salons, hosted community events supporting local food vendors, and worked at corporate companies through our EB Mobile Cuts Co service. Which is a branch of EB Barbershop that provides services for Corporate Companies

Construction Crews Weddings & Events.
Now, I’m preparing to introduce an apprenticeship program designed to help others become licensed barbers. Barbering changed my life, and creating pathways for others to build sustainable careers through this trade feels like a full-circle moment. What began as a simple haircut for a friend has grown into a career, a business, and a platform to serve and uplift others.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Opening my own business came with a new set of challenges. Learning how to run a shop, manage finances, and stay consistent during slow seasons pushed me in ways cutting hair alone never had. On top of that, earning trust in new spaces whether corporate environments, community events, or higher-profile opportunities required patience, professionalism, and perseverance.
Despite the struggles, every obstacle shaped me
We’ve been impressed with EB Barbershop, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
EB Barbershop (stands for El Barbero/ the barber) is a traditional barbershop with mobile services designed to meet clients where they are, whether in the shop or on-site. We specialize in fast, sharp, and consistent haircuts without compromising quality. Our brand is known for professionalism, clear communication with both walk-ins and appointment-based clients, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
What sets EB Barbershop apart is our commitment to service and reliability. We understand that our clients value their time, so we focus on efficiency, precision, and customer experience. From the moment someone books an appointment or walks in, they know what to expect great service, attention to detail, and respect.
As the brand continues to grow, our heart and vision are shifting toward education and legacy. We are intentionally positioning the barbershop to become a birthing ground for new and upcoming barbers. Our goal is to help develop barbers who are not only skilled but also studied, disciplined, and reliable licensed professionals. We want to raise the standard in the industry by emphasizing proper training, professionalism, and accountability.
What we’re most proud of brand-wise is the trust we’ve built within our community and the direction we’re headed. EB Barbershop is more than a place to get a haircut. t’s a space where craft, service, and mentorship come together. We want readers to know that when they support EB Barbershop, they’re supporting quality, consistency, and the future of barbering
