Jewel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today
From a young girl, I knew in some way, shape or form, I was going to end up in the beauty industry, where within a few hours or minutes, you can turn someone’s frown upside down. Honestly, making people feel beautiful came natural to me. Hair and makeup were my fortes, but upon entering esthetician school, I found new, even more, exciting skill set I had within me… EXTRACTIONS. That’s right, extracting all sorts of seemingly gross things out of people’s faces single-handedly lured my deep obsession for skincare. Fast forward 15 years, I am still in love with this beautiful industry, and I have built a brand that encourages people to live a healthy lifestyle to reach their skincare goals. I have witnessed countless, mouth-dropping, skin transformations of our clients who trusted our holistic approach to beautiful skin.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been an incredible road to this point in my business. Servicing people in a manner that lifts their spirits, relaxes their minds, rejuvenates their souls is equally as satisfying to client as it is for us. When you add in, obvious, physical results that overcome skin concerns, you add in the element of elevating self-esteem, which is life-changing. The only challenges have been learning through trial and error as professionals the most efficient and least invasive methods of executing the path of wellness for our clients.

Flesh Skin Studio is an intimate skincare oasis, servicing only four clients at a time in the middle of bustling Atlanta. Our licensed skin therapists perform customized skincare treatments on clients including; facials, chemical peels and body treatments that are all focused on achieving results with minimal to no discomfort. We are known for the amazing results our clients have achieved with our guidance. We are also known for our organic products that work miracles.
We are most proud of the level of commitment we have to our clients the moment they walk through our doors.. Our holistic approach sets us as apart as we give our clients educational tools that include diet and lifestyle suggestions that they can use for the rest of their life, along with a strategic treatment plan and home skin regimen to combat any and all skin concerns they may have.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was your typical “girly-girl,” interested in everything feminine. I had a natural talent for doing hair and makeup, and thankfully everyone in my family allowed me to blindly experiment on them, which built my skills and passion. As a child, I was literally styling my mom and her friends before they would hit the town for a night of fun. Of course, in exchange, they would pay me, so from a young age, I learned the value of money and the power it had and how awesome it felt to make it doing something I enjoyed. It was a trap. I had no choice but to become a business owner, and I’m so thankful for the journey.
