Today we’d like to introduce you to Flight Gang G.A.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My name is Flight Gang G.A. I am from Hinesville, GA. I have always been a fan of music since a child. I started writing and recording music at a young age and it became my passion. I became and entrepreneur and opened my first Rim and Tire business at the age of 18. Music has always motivated and inspired me. I kind of stumbled upon recording music. Some friends from my neighborhood had a small in-home studio. I started off just being over there watching them. I also had some cousins in Florida that were taking the same path. One day I decided to write a verse and it sounded pretty dope to them. I was encouraged by the feedback and decided to write and record more often. I then began cultivating my sound.
I started Flight Gang with some close friends of mine. It became a brand and a record label full of creatives. We started investing in ourselves. We purchased our own equipment and began recording, shooting our own visuals, and doing our own photography. We learned the business and started doing everything in house. I have released quite a few projects and music videos which can all be found online. My latest project entitled “Still” is available on all streaming platforms. I feel this is the best work I have released to date. You should definitely give it a listen.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Finding balance in life, music, and business has been a struggle. When it comes to music, there is no handbook to actually follow. Of course, you can look at what the greats that came before you have done and try to apply it to your journey, but everyone’s circumstance is not the same. In the beginning, music wasn’t bringing in any funds, so it was extremely hard to be able to give it the full attention and focus needed. I learned early on in life that I had to have several different incomes to be able to live and invest in the music. Without any mentors or people to show us the way, we learned everything through trial and error.

Flight Gang is a record label and a brand that consists of recording artists, songwriters, engineers, music curators, creative directors, photographers, and videographers. I have a hand in the songwriting/recording process, along with a creative direction. We all work exceptionally well together, bouncing ideas and brainstorming while bringing out the best from each other. Everyone brings something unique to the table and I am glad to be surrounded by such a dope group of creators.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I put a lot of hard work into my latest project entitled “Still.” The feedback I am receiving from the listeners have been amazing. My fanbase is growing each and everyday. I realized I set the bar coming from where I’m from and will continue to focus on getting us through the door.
