Frederic is from Belgium, where he graduated from the icHEC Brussels Management School. Since launching his first business in 2001, Frederic has gained his experience in the luxury real estate market in Europe before even glimpsing a market space in Rio de Janeiro where he moved to the state in 2007.
Frederic launched WhereInRio in 2009 using a specific work model based on the values of high service, innovation, transparency and accountability. He is always looking for the best ways to achieve excellence in the luxury real estate market. As a European specialist in the luxury real estate market, Frederic’s mission is to offer personalized services to those who wish to access this market in Rio de Janeiro, whether to rent, buy or sell a property. Familiar with Rio de Janeiro for more than 16 years, Frederic combines all the necessary skills as well as knowledge of the specific cities of the Brazilian market with European experience and standards.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t really think it could ever be an easy path starting your own business, there has been struggles. It’s always tough getting your company and your name out, plus learning how to run a business in Brazil wasn’t easy. Finding people that meet my expectative and standards was very hard in Rio de Janeiro.
