Today we’d like to introduce you to Fredrico.
Hi Fredrico, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my fitness journey over 20 years ago as a teenager in Memphis, TN. I always had a passion for helping people develop themselves physically, mentally and emotionally.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been easy at all. Building a brand is never an easy task and I remember back when I was training clients for free just to get my name out there. It wasn’t always easy to get clients to believe in themselves and for me to believe in myself when it comes to fitness due to having high-risk asthma. Over the years, I started to gain the confidence and the respect from those that were wanting to start a healthy lifestyle.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have been working as a fitness instructor and has transformed many people over the years due to eating right and exercise. With taking so much enjoyment with fitness, I decided to open my first gym back in 2020, called FDL Compound. I will be opening my second gym location in the fall of 2022. As far as specializations, I primarily focus on speed and agility, strength and conditioning as well as nutrition and group instruction.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Oh gosh, there are way too many names to name. But I would have to give credit to every trainer that wakes up every day that push and motivate their clients to make sure they are reaching their fitness goals. Those are the guys that would be my biggest motivator. But if I had to name a couple, it would most definitely TJ Walls, Mr. Reps just to name a few.
