Today we’d like to introduce you to Sundra D.
Sundra, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was a little girl beginning my obsession with hair around the age of 3 or 4. I use to braid & comb my dolls hair forever. I had coatings that were braiding hair & they were really heavy handed. I just knew that I could braid my own hair to get away from them doing it lol. By the time I went to kindergarten I learned how to.braid but wasn’t really good as I was by the time I turned 8 yrs old. I then kept practicing & learning through trial & error how to get better. From then on I had gotten better work time& choose to make it a profession.
Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part, it was kinda smooth but I did have 4 babies at a very early age. I had help from a bf who eventually became my husband for a while. I worked a lot. Literally 24, 48 hrs at a time
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career was when I traveled to different states & won multiple competitions.
Every story has ups and downs. What were some of the downs others might not be aware of?
There were moments in the beginning when I had to struggle with having to go to school full time, work full time and having to be a mommy to 4 small children.
