Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabe Dixon.
Gabe, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am an Albany, GA native but was raised in Atlanta. I studied marketing management at South GA Technical College and later obtained my Commercial Drivers License (CDL) to provide income for myself. After constantly being on the road, eating the same boring fast food and working with various truck companies, I was eager for a change and an opportunity to utilize my college education. I accepted an offer with one of the largest mattress retailers in the nation, in my hometown, where I quickly progressed to overseeing sales and operations of multiple locations in the South Georgia District. After years of working late holiday hours and weekends, I realized I would rather put that time and effort in my own business. In 2014, I accepted and entry-level painting position that afforded me the opportunity to further my knowledge. Founded in 2019, Owl Paint It was created with the vision to provide high-quality painting services and outstanding customer service… Creating art in peoples homes while achieving my dream of entrepreneurship. Happy to say, no job is too big nor too small, whatever it is, OWL PAINT IT! Whoo’s Next??
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Absolutely NOT! Entrepreneurship is never smooth; however it’s how you handle those struggles that determine your outcome.

When you call OPI, you’ll be working with a team of professionals providing a residential and commercial painting EXPERIENCE. With over 15 years of experience, we are the only paint company in Metro Atlanta with a mascot (Willy the Owl) whoooo has dance fever.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing! The road traveled has been a difficult one; however, it has also been rewarding.
