Today we’d like to introduce you to Gary Page.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I got started in this specific industry when I worked for Numerex, a local Atlanta based company. During this time, I met the previous owner of Fleet Analytics, who was a competitor at the time, at various trade shows. We became friends and in 2011, I facilitated the sale of Fleet Analytics revenue accounts to Numerex who was not interested in Fleet Analytics Intellectual Property. I left Numerex and about a year later and subsequently bought the Fleet Analytics Intellectual Property which did include one small US Government account.
Fleet Analytics was primarily focused on asset tracking and after I purchased the company, I expanded the technology into vehicle and personnel tracking as well as remote sensing. My entire career has been in the Government market space and using this experience, I began to submit proposals to apply Fleet Analytics technology and solutions to Federal, State, County and Municipal government requirements.
After submitting hundreds of proposals and landing a few small projects in the beginning, Fleet Analytics was to able to land progressively larger projects as our technology and offerings improved. Fleet Analytics is now five years old, and have a large customer base. Fleet Analytics is self-funded and continues to grow topline revenue while continuously improving our product and services to meet current and future requirements.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any small, startup company, Fleet Analytics has had its share of struggles. In the beginning, the Company had only a small number of contracts and when your revenue is primarily derived from one or two contracts, the loss of a contract can be devastating. Fleet Analytics lost a couple of contracts that contributed a large percentage of its revenue and it took fully six months to a year to recover.
That was a seminal turning point for Fleet Analytics. The company became laser focused on new business generation, the launching of new software platform and insuring the company was no longer dependent on one or two customers.
All this occurred during the largest recession the US has experienced along with the implementation of oppressive Federal Government banking regulations that makes it nearly impossible for small businesses to acquire traditional loans and lines of credit.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Fleet Analytics – what should we know?
Fleet Analytics is a technology company specializing in asset, vehicle and personnel tracking. In addition, Fleet Analytics also specializes in remote sensing technologies.
Fleet Analytics is primarily known for providing fleet tracking systems and services for Federal, State, County and Municipal Government passenger vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment.
Fleet Analytics is most proud of our ability to listen to input from our customers on how we can improve our products and quickly implement these improvements. Fleet Analytics realizes we are experts in our technology, but our customers are experts on how they run their day-to-day operations and what and how they need our products to perform.
Additionally, Fleet Analytics prides itself on our customer service. We provide a personalized level of customer where our customers are always able to speak directly to real person. We view our customers as partners and we take a long term view in the relationship since our contracts are usually 3 – 5 years in length.

The ability to listen to customer input and feedback and act promptly. Fleet Analytics also provides a quality product and service at very market competitive rates.
