Today we’d like to introduce you to Georgia Lynn.
Hi Georgia, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always been a bit of a health nut. But sometimes, I would take it too far. I remember following up my gym workouts with a power yoga class (or two).
I counted every. Single. Calorie. For years! And never let myself eat the cake.
And although I looked great from the outside. I mean, washboard abs. I wasn’t so great on the inside. Stressed, overwhelmed, and disconnected from the joy of life.
I was drinking a bottle of wine every night. Feeling super pissed at everyone—especially my husband. And my toes were turning blue (AKA I’d developed Raynaud’s disease because of my stress levels).
I knew something had to change. I needed my health so I could be the mom I wanted to be for my son. So, I embarked on a healing journey.
Now, I feel better than ever! Sure. I still get stressed. But overall, I’m in love with myself, my life, and my purpose: guiding other people out of the dark days and into the vibrancy of life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest struggle in entrepreneurship has been learning to balance doing and not doing. I’m typically a do-do-do, go-go-go kind of person. But sometimes, stepping back and not doing is exactly what my business has needed to grow.
On the flip side, sometimes I might not want to do that thing that I really need to do. It might be challenging or bring up fear. In these moments, I’ve needed to lean in, move through the fear, and face the challenges.
Learning when to rest and when to work has been a big practice for me!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a yoga teacher and holistic wellness coach. I help people connect with a deep sense of wellness so they can be their best self.
Being healthy isn’t about an external metric, like having washboard abs or the number on the scale. It’s not about checking off the boxes of your wellness routine. Or doing all the “right” things, the experts say.
It’s about feeling comfortable in your own skin, having the energy to play with your kiddos, feeling confident and secure in yourself so you can do the things you want and be who you are in the world, and being able to relax, enjoy, and be present for your life (the only one you get btw)
And it *all* starts with your relationship with yourself, your habits, and understanding what you need.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Yeah! Chances are–if you’ve ended up in my orbit, you’re already a self-care queen (or king). If you’re doing all of the “right” things, but you’re not getting the results you want, it’s likely that you’re missing one essential piece: your central nervous system health.
At the root of a lot of our challenges (including the blue toes I mentioned earlier) is nervous system dysregulation. This is when our central nervous system is out of whack and not functioning properly.
And this is majorly problematic for your *whole* system.
Because your central nervous system is like the control center for your entire body. It connects your brain, heart, and gut. So if it’s out of whack. You’re out of whack.
By learning how to regulate your nervous system, you can connect deeply with yourself, heal holistically, and unlock the missing link to your wellness – leading you down a path of vitality, abundance, and joy. I’d love to help you get there!
