Gnarly the Modern Renaissance Woman, is dedicated to all that makes living an experience! With a professional background in events coordination and business management, she decided to pursue her passion: creating opportunities for herself and others who want to push the peace through creativity and artistic expression. She saw an opportunity to manifest her movement in ATLANTA and started CYNSUMLUV Entertainment Company, with every intention to provide ingenious talent clever avenues to showcase their crafts. While you can find her hosting anywhere from three to eight events in any given month, she is also behind the scenes at every step, making CYNSUMLUV the perfect one-stop shop for any and all entertainment management needs!
Since 2013, Gnarly has been Hostess and Coordinator of EXPRESS YOURSELF ATL, presented by Sound N Lyrics every 2nd Tuesday at the internationally known Apache Café. Averaging crowds of 100-125 people, many out for the first time, she’s known to bring both a positive experience to attendees and an upturn of revenue on weeknights at the venue. This event provides an opportunity for local and touring musicians and artist to rock with a live band in front of a dope crowd! It has become a staple night of the month to many across Atlanta.
In 2016, she began curating events for Paperboy Studios. Many don’t know that she oversees everything from booking a steady rotation of independent artists to graphic design, social media management, and Along the way, she works diligently with artists prepared to invest in themselves with development opportunities at every step. Prizes at TO THE TOP TALENT COMPETITION, every 1st Friday include studio time and an interview with Kreative Kulture Radio, where she serves as Assistant Director. Every 2nd Wednesday is dedicated to another of her creations, INDIE FLEX OPEN MIC, where artists can showcase their individualized style to an audience always looking for new indie music to follow. The CYNSUMLUV team’s ongoing relationship with Paperboy Studios has led not only to creating a profitable event space, but also generating more business for the studio with the artists who attend.
The most recent creative marketplace of Cyn’s creation is the I.L.L.A. VIBEZ EXPERIENCE, which saw a successful debut of 60-80 attendees at Union EAV in December 2017. Featured artists receive not only a 15-minute set but also performance and interview footage to solidify their web presences.
Whether it’s venue selection, event preparation, an engaged and positive audience, fresh new talent, creative marketing approaches or a hostess who can generate the right buzz, Cyn is the creator of opportunities for creatives. Cyn’s consistent track record has created many a staple event for independent artists both residing in Atlanta and passing through.
CYNSUMLUV Entertainment Company is only seeking expansion in the coming year and is seeking the right set of investors and businesses to team up with as the brand takes the movement all over the country.
Atop her endless business ventures, Cyn is also creative in every sense of the word.
All around go to girl and master of all trades, she has proven to make dreams a reality, while making life a party and Peace the Mission.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s definitely not been as smooth as I’d liked it to be. There are many challenges that come with this industry. For starters, getting my thoughts organized and finding a way to financially support my dream has been a big challenge.
Then comes the getting the message out to the people, it’s all one big challenge!!
Life is always going to throw ontacles at you, you just have to learn to jump.
