Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Brackman.
Grace, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Raised in Athens, GA- I graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Furnishing and Interiors in 2017. During my college years, I served as an assistant buyer a high- end furnishings and gift shop, this began my love all things design. My program required an internship with an interior design firm- I contacted Maggie and the rest is history. I have grown from Intern, Design Assistant and Project Manager to Associate Designer.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Fortunately, my road has been pretty smooth. However, college days were definitely rough at times. The Furnishing and Interiors program is very demanding and time-consuming. I spent many nights in front of the computer struggling to meet deadlines while working a job on the side.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Maggie Griffin Design – what should we know?
Maggie Griffin Design is a Gainesville and Atlanta-based luxury Interior Design company. We have a clientele that spans from North Georgia to Middle and South Georgia, to projects in the Carolinas, Alabama and Florida. I am proud to be part of the team. As a previous assistant buyer for a high-end furnishings and gift shop, my eye for quality merchandise and accessories is evident in my interiors. Through my technical training, I am able to take on a wide range of projects from New Construction, large scale renovations and simply interiors. I like to think I bring a fresh approach to Maggie Griffin Design by using modern pieces mixed with bold colors and luxe textiles. Our passion for classic, Southern Inspired, comfortable design combined with a dedication to our work and service of our clients sets us apart from others.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
A lot of people deserve credit for where I am today. Foremost, my family- a wonderful support system. My classmates and now forever friends, our belief in each other got us through those long nights in the studio. And of course Maggie, for seeing my potential and helping guide me along the way.
