Today we’d like to introduce you to Gregory Bnyce Bernard.
Hi Gregory Bnyce, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started rapping in high school I was listening to LL COOL J and Michael Jackson and those were my major influences alongside biggie and 2pac… Hell I used to entertain my family at five years old at family get togethers and functions and weddings… I think I always knew I wanted to be a star lol.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not, lol. I wish it was. But hey, it made me who I am today… I’m originally from Brooklyn New York .. but I grew up in Riverdale ga I didn’t have a whole lot of money my parents did work hard to take care of me and my sister and keep a roof over our heads. But I used to see the kids in high school with the new sneakers and dope clothes and I wanted to have it… so I used to hustle to pay for my own… I used to have part-time jobs at places like dominoes and Dennys. But my major money came from selling bootleg CDs and DVDs amongst other things on the street.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I AM A MUSIC ARTIST (RAPPER), PERFORMER, SONGWRITER AND URBAN CLOTHING COMPANY OWNER (BNYCE CUPID APPAREL) I AM MOST PROUD OF HAVING MY ABILITY TO WRITE ALL OF MY OWM MUSIC and still owning my own SUCCESSFUL clothing line.
What sets me apart is my drive and determination… YOU WILL NOT OUT WORK ME EVER! even when it seems like I’m not working, BOOM I’m still working, lol.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
CHRISTMAS TIME… my abuelo would have us all sit in the living room opening the gifts as a family and the best part wasn’t opening the gifts it was reading the cards… the words we shared and the meaning behind them the love that filled the house was the best!!!… and I try to keep up the tradition since he passed in 2011… it’s been a little hard since covid hit but we should be getting back to it this year.
