Today we’d like to introduce you to Guylaine Dwarica and Nicole Langford.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My journey started 2 years ago. I had a passion for planning events and experimenting liquor each time I host a social gathering, I was placed on drink duty! and at that moment, I knew I wanted to be an entrepreneur but had no idea or direction BUT my notion changed due to my job losing their contract, and unemployment became my only source of income. I knew I wanted more and at that moment I had an Epiphany.
I brainstormed on the perfect name and began my research, in the midst, I attended Atlanta Bartending School and then RSE (Red Sky Event) evolved.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
RSE has been in business for 2 years and it has been a journey! You learn to separate daily life (Working 9-5, College and running a business) you gain a new eye for prioritizing and it humbles you as a person. You may gain a few headaches and your pockets may not gain profit in the beginning BUT I’m happy to say if I had to start all over again, I would. Like most businesses, it’s slow in the beginning. This is your trial and error phase.
Your working on establishments, branding/marketing and scheduling. It’s usually a one-man army for most! but I had the opportunity/the helping hand of my business partner, who happens to be my best friend. She acknowledged my drive and passion which then motivated her to obtain her own bartering license to help build my vision.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Red Sky Events story. Tell us more about the business.
Red Sky Events is a mobile bartending company, also known as RSE. This establishment is owned by two amazing women.
We’re known for our Pina Colada’s, Passion sunset signature drinks, Adult gummy bears and Popsicles. As a company, we’re proud of the growth and knowing that we bring excitement to every event.
What set us apart? We’re millennial’s and yes! we’re females! We beat the odds and statics for new startup companies in the first year. and We have an “Island Twist” and bring the life to your party. This is just the beginning for RSE.
