Meet H. Dale Contant of Atlanta Design & Build in Marietta

Today we’d like to introduce you to H. Dale Contant.

Founded in 1996 as Sun-Fun Remodeling Inc., our company built a reputation as a quality provider of remodeling services. Over the years, as our skills and expertise expanded our list of specialties, we changed our name to Atlanta Design & Build to better represent who we are as a full-service Design/Build organization. We have always taken pride in the high level of customer support delivered to each project. Striving for professionalism has been key to our success.

Has it been a smooth road?
The construction industry recession caused significant impact. Today business has ramped up, the recession is history but the new challenge is finding the right trades people to support the industry. With the recession over, 2 million workers have not come back to construction work. Over the last 20 to 30 years, technical skill training, i.e. shop training, has slowly eroded in our public schools. College has been promoted as the path for everyone… not everyone is set up for college. Through involvement in the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), we are making effort to get the message to public schools that those in the trades can do very well compared to college-based careers.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Atlanta Design & Build story. Tell us more about the business.
Our team “Transforms Homes to Enrich our clients’ Lives”. As a residential Design/Build remodeling firm, we can create any space you can envision: entire home renovations, kitchen or bath remodels, room addition or basement/terrace level completions or outdoor living spaces.

Atlanta Design & Build has won lots of design awards and recognition but what makes us MOST proud is that the largest % of our business consistently comes from repeat customers and referrals.

For over 20+ years, our company has established a reputation for operating with integrity and excellence. We remain committed to living out those principles every day, with every client.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
If anything, I would say there is going to be consolidation of mega-companies handling processes, employees and shared resources so that consumers/homeowners have access to a ‘one-stop shop’ for their home maintenance, repairs and remodeling needs.
