Haley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a child, I enjoyed watching dessert cooking shows and always wanted to show my creativity through sweets. When I was in HighSchool, I sold fresh fruit cups, chocolate-covered strawberries, and candy grapes as a side hustle. When I graduated, I decided to take a few classes so I could add more to my menu. After weeks of practice, I started a business called SouthSide Sweets. Southside Sweets offer many different sweets from a variety of chocolate strawberries with various toppings.
We offer chocolate covered apples, pretzels, crispy rice treats, and Oreos. We specialize in candy-coated grapes and covered strawberries with delicious toppings. All my sweets are freshly made with organic fruits and all fruits are properly cleaned. My business hasn’t reached its full potential yet but its almost there. I will be adding a few more items to my menu really soon.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road was rocky when I first started but It’s been great ever since the 3rd day.
