Today we’d like to introduce you to Harvin Greene
Hi Harvin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My family was in the Coca-Cola bottling business and the day after I graduated from College of Charleston, I moved to Atlanta to work for The Coca-Cola Company during the Olympics in 1996! I spent the first 10 years of my career doing global marketing and sales for them. I got married, had 2 daughters and then wanted to go back to work and decided on residential real estate with Dorsey Alston Realtors. I now have 15+ years of Atlanta real estate market expertise and beyond to St. Simon’s and the Cashiers, Highlands area of North Carolina. I’ve always had an eye for design and a knack for creating things. I think this has helped me be successful in real estate as well.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I first started in real estate, it was 2008…people thought I was crazy. I think because of when I joined, during a challenging market, I’ve never known it easy! I’ve learned how to push forward even when things arise that are out of the buyer, seller or realtor’s control.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Aside from being an Atlanta Realtor, my husband, Tommy & I have a passion for renovating historic homes. We combine our talents in design & construction (Tommy is a builder) to create homes with character and heart. Right now, we’re renovating a project on Paces Ferry in Buckhead. I’m in the process of picking out all the finishes, tile, etc. the project is on track to be completed this year, 2025 and it’ll be pretty spectacular. Our motto is, “If you build it, they will come.” We build and design homes with a lot of thoughtfulness to the modern buyer. I believe my design eye and construction knowledge is what sets me apart from other Realtors in the industry. My eye for design bleeds into my closet — I am often told my style is unique and interesting. I look for inspiration everywhere and my closet reflects that. It was also the impetus to start my new lifestyle brand, HARVIN. (harvin.com)
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
If you’re interested in buying or selling your home this year, I’d love to work with you! If you’re a creative in Atlanta, I’d also love to collaborate with you! I’m passionate about art, fashion and interiors and love supporting small businesses & up and coming artists. I launched my personal website this year, HARVIN.com that includes “All Things FABULOUS” — real estate, fashion, art and interiors. The official launch is this year, 2025.
