Today we’d like to introduce you to Hee Seo and Jung Choi.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Hee and Jung. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We started with 3 people in the beginning. Our motto was “we can only grow if customers succeed” and put ourselves in the customer’s position as how they can succeed. Customers who have been with us became our families and partners. We became who we are because of their trust.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just like any other business, it’s race against time and price. We have to wait until permit is approved by city/county thus we have to manufacture signs fast. Also, we have to keep our price low but maintain quality. This made us to do better and work harder. We made investments on equipment, seeking out new materials, studying new techniques, and buying in bulks to maintain good quality at low price.
Gom Printing & Signs – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We can do all types of printing works and manufacture large signs. With our knowledge and know-how from hardware to software, we pride ourselves as we are different from other companies because we understand pros and cons of each materials plus we plan, design, manufacture, and install by ourselves. Because we can do everything, our approach to each job is different which yield to product unique to us.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Our proudest moment has to be manufacturing and installation of large outdoor sign for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama. It was our first large project and from that moment on, we’ve been doing large signs for other large plants. Last month, we successfully manufactured and installed sign for Hankook Tire manufacturing plant in Clarksville, TN.
