Today we’d like to introduce you to Helen Huyen Dao.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Started college at the age of 18 to become a teacher and graduated the school four years later. Then I got married and had two little children. I always desire to further my education. I believe in good education so I can be independent and have my own career and do what I love. At the same time, raising two children and taking care of my family, I went back to school to become a nurse. I was passionate to learn about how human body works and I love to work with people, as well. I was super happy to get accepted to Kennesaw State University Nursing school. I remember out of more than 900 candidates, the school only accepted 140 students and I was one of them. I was so blessed to get accepted. I did very well in the nursing school and got a nursing job at WellStar North Fulton Hospital. My nature of me being so friendly and pleasant, detail-oriented and hard-work, some of the doctors told me to try to become a real estate agent – believe it or not. My spouse is also an agent. So one day, I followed him to show a property to a client, I was so excited and I felt like I can do the job really well. I wanted to jump in to advise the clients but I could not because I did not have a license at that time. From that point, I decided to get my real estate license. I practiced and I was so in love. In my first year, I sold ten properties and received the rookie of the year award at my local brokerage company – Atlanta Maxim International (now NDI Maxim Real Estate). I decided to quit my nursing job to dedicate to real estate full-time even though my nursing license is still active. In the last two years, Helen received the Agent of the Year award of 2020 and 2021 at NDI Maxim Real Estate. I am so thankful to all of my dear clients, my dear brokers, my dear family, all the dear mortgage brokers, the closing attorneys/friends, etc. I love you, guys. From the bottom of my heart, I am so grateful for all the opportunities, trusts and all the helps.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been through a lot but I am thankful for the journeys in my life. I have learned a lot along the way to become who I am today. I love to help people. I would love to see people’s smiles and happy with what I have done for them. I have tried my best to help many dear clients to buy a dream home with the best deals. I have helped many of my dear clients sell with the most bucks home. I love to help my dear clients to invest with the most profits. I am very dedicated to provide the best quality of services to my dear clients. I want my dear clients to remember me as a dedicated, loving, caring, experienced, detail-oriented and hard-working agent. I want my clients to experience the best quality of services in real estate with me. I work directly one on one with my dear clients – I would like to provide the boutique high-end VIP style. That is what I am aiming for when I do businesses.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
