Meet Hendricks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hendricks.

Hendricks, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up singing in the church. At the age of 14 is when I decided to take music more seriously. Born in Birmingham, AL. I got my first big gig after moving to Stone Mountain, GA with my family, where I got to open up for Carl Thomas at the Bronner Brothers hair show. From there, I went on to work with and open up for Ruben Studdar, Case and R.L. In addition to opening for other artist, I also perform throughout the city with my own band.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As an indie upcoming artist there is a lot of trial and error but anything worth having won’t be easy. The key is to finding people who believe in and have the same vision as you.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a singer/songwriter. I am an actress. I am an entrepreneur. But I’m best known for my vocals. What sets me apart from others is that they are not me. Plenty of people are doing what I’m doing but none can do it like ME.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment of my career so far is now. I am in a great space and I am enjoying my journey. I celebrate all victories.
