Today we’d like to introduce you to HeyCeddy Cole.
HeyCeddy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Music has always been a huge part of my life since a young age playing the piano and being in chorus etc. I’ve always known that music will be a part of my journey in life I just didn’t know when and how it was going to happen. After high school I thought I was going to be a D1 athlete so rapping/singing wasn’t always on my mind. After high school I ended up joining the Navy which is what really made me want to start getting back in the groove of making music and doing it professionally. During my time serving I fell in a huge depression and music was the only thing that helped me cope. As soon as I got out the navy my first stop was the studio. I started to slowly see my fan base grow back in my hometown. Driving around town and hearing people blast my music only encourages me more to keep going and hopefully become nationwide soon.
Has it been a smooth road?
As far as making the music I feel like it’s been very smooth. The most difficult part about it is getting yourself out there to multiple platforms and networking consistently all day and every day. If it was easy everyone would be a famous rapper but I understand that it takes time and intelligence to surpass everyone else around you.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
“HeyCeddy” is my own brand and it’s also my stage name. What I’m most proud of right now is that everyone knows who I am based off my brand name. And I’m in the making of my merchandise website which I’m really looking forward to finish creating.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years I’m hoping to be known nationwide and globally. And have my own studio back in my hometown.
