Meet Teesha Borum of High Vibe Sentiments in Kirkwood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Teesha Borum.

Teesha, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
High Vibe Sentiments was inspired by a few things – 1. a desire to express my creativity (which began with a simple doodle of a crown with an affirmation). 2. A self-proclamation and physical manifestation of my self-love journey, as well as my ability to walk alone if/when my worth is disregarded. 3. A way to do what I love to inspire others.

Has it been a smooth road?
It hasn’t even been a year yet, so no major challenges thus far. I have a bath & body business as well, and although it’s my baby, it stressed my out along the way (as to be expected the first time around). However, this time, my focus is on expressing my creativity and making sure I’m always enjoying what I do. I’m making the most out of what I have and keeping things as stress free as possible. It’s actually been a breath of fresh air for me.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
High Vibe Sentiments boldly showcases one’s worth, vibrancy, and authenticity through affirmation apparel and accessories. Positive sentiments such as “I am enough”, “worthy”, “beyoutiful”, “be you”, “stardust”, and “vibrate higher” can be found on buttons, enamel pins, stickers and/or apparel.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Atlanta is a great place for HVS to exist! I have become pleasantly surprised with how the sentiments resonate with numerous sects or marginalized groups, i.e., women, LGBTQ, those living with disabilities, bohemian free spirits, and pre teens in particular that struggle with finding their place in the world or have to deal with bullying. This experience has allowed me to reflect and check my biases, as well as recognize the things we have in common.

I absolutely LOVE seeing people light up or place their hands over their hearts when they walk past my booth at events. If we love who we are and felt comfortable enough to show up authentically and at our highest vibration, we’d make major strides in the world.

My point of view may come across as a bit idealistic, but since we’re all connected, a change in me can spark a change in you. If we all did the work, it could all be so simple. We don’t have to agree, but we also don’t have to stifle who others are if it’s not hurting anyone else. Our unique gifts and perspectives should be seen as an asset rather than a need to push conformity and a sheeple mindset. We’re all worthy of shining our light.
