Today we’d like to introduce you to Holli Jones.
Holli, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My passion for art started when I was younger. I remember drawing stick people and just being a creative child. As I got older, my skills progressed, becoming a self-taught artist was an uphill climb. As a growing artist, I’ve faced many obstacles such as marketing and selling my creations. However, I continued being persistent by coming up with solutions that would benefit all creators. House of Arts was created to help artists market and grow their businesses. We offer a community for creators to mingle with others by providing a platform to guide each member to success. I wanted to offer a space where artists can display their products and have a positive experience growing their business.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The journey of starting my business has been overwhelming but exciting. I took a chance in hopes my dreams would become a reality by launching my business during covid-19. It has been a roller-coaster ride for the past year. Shipping my products to my customers has been challenging with covid-19 delaying shipping; it caused business to be a bit slow. I had to figure out what I could do to keep my clientele. However, I am learning along the way by teaching myself how to run a business as well as continuing to make art. No matter the obstacle, I will keep pushing even when I reach my goals.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in many creative fields and consider myself to be a visionary. It’s more than paints and markers; I intertwine my passion with every form of art. I enjoy painting with acrylics and mixed media as well. My work ranges from canvas paintings prints to handmade event décor. If my client wants it, I can make it. I would say my ability to truly execute my client’s vision would be what I am most proud of. I am able to bring any idea to life and that is what sets me apart from others.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
When I was younger, I was the loudest in the room. I was always somewhere drawing, painting or creating something. My family and friends supported me as I went down the creative path. I stood out in my community and I was un-bothered by that. My personality shines in any room I step in.
