Hi Hykeem Rashaad, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.

I started this journey of being an entertainer & entrepreneur 13 yrs ago and I always been into theater and film since a teenager. But of course my dream started when I was just 5 years old acting from scene to scene from movies & sitcoms through out my guess and with family.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing has been a smooth road and that’s something you have to experience to actually understand or know someone close that has. I think anything worth it will be a challenge in itself but it builds character so it’s a win for me. I struggled just like anyone has who is fighting for their dreams, some days you want to throw the towel in but you remember your WHY and that keeps me going.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am known for quite a few things , I’m a writer first , actor , influencer, entrepreneur and executive producer & creator of empower talk. Which is based around entrepreneurship and mental health. I’m also a mental health advocate so it’s a plus when I can spread awareness on Empower Talk.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I learned is to stay true to who you are no matter what anyone thinks of you. Never give up on anything that makes you thrive or that you are most passionate about.
