Today we’d like to introduce you to Marty Whitchurch.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Marty. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I first started doing graphics back in 2016 as just for fun. I didn’t start taking it seriously until I made my Instagram and started getting messages from people willing to pay to have one made. I was making concepts for musicians I listen to and local ones and then some of them would message me asking to buy them. It didn’t take me a while to take it seriously, I enjoy doing graphics and working every day on making myself better at it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes and no. At first, it was a slow ride, barely anyone messaging for graphics. It didn’t take off till I started doing concepts for known musicians and tagging them, having them liking it and posting it on their page and tagging me. Once that happened, my profile expanded more. People started to notice my work and wanted their graphics done by me.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with HZD Graphics – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I do graphics for music artists, other businesses, promoters, basically anyone who would need graphics done. I think I’m most proud that I did this by myself and going on three years and haven’t stopped. I’m most known for my dark style of art and I think that’s what sets me aside from other designers.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I plan to hopefully stay freelanced. I would like to start doing movie poster designs, book covers, clothing designs, etc.
