Today we’d like to introduce you to Idally Hunter.
Idally, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I did a stint working as an assistant at a Real Estate Firm and property management company about seven years ago; working there is where my interest in Real Estate began. Though if I am honest, I thought Real Estate would be easy, SO not the case. I’ve always had an entrepreneurial appetite, last fall I fed into it and enrolled in Real Estate courses to begin my career in Real Estate.
I passed and applied for my license at the end of January this year and started working with eXp Realty the second week of February. It would be my luck that a global pandemic was just around the corner, but it did not suppress my hunger and drive to be successful. In seven months time, I’ve sold four houses for a total of $1.3 million + in sales, have a listing coming soon, have three buyers currently looking all the while still working full time as a Legal Assistant at one of Atlanta’s top law firms.
Has it been a smooth road?
Smooth road…..hmmmm not even close! You are taught soooo much in class, but yet you actually have to jump into the field to really learn the business. The mentors and support my brokerage provides have been great, but if you don’t have the will power and fire within to push, you won’t make it. As I stated, I work full time as a Legal Assistant, Married with a nephew kid, and two dogs, time is not my best friend. I’ve had to MAKE time and put it into myself and my business. Time is my biggest enemy! Need time to market, show homes, write contracts, put together presentations, search for properties, analyze the market, to network, to educate your clients, educate yourself, learn the business and so much more all the while maintaining my personal life. It’s been an adjustment, but the support of my family and friends makes it easier so the road has gotten much smoother.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how much our city has grown and developed! When we first moved here, my first impression of Atlanta was TREES! There were trees everywhere! We still have many trees, but we also have sooo much more! Atlanta has so many ‘vibes’ that vary from neighborhood to neighborhood and I love exploring them and all they have to offer.
