Meet Isaac Hayes III of Isaac Hayes Enterprises in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Hayes III.

Isaac definitely has all the right moves, as the son of soul icon. Isaac, he gives as hard as he gets. From producing music that makes us bump and groove on the big screen to being an integral part of electing Atlanta’s Keisha Lance Bottoms as Mayor.

His social and political activism is on a steep rise making him a pillar of Atlanta’s African American community. Isaac began a multi-venture 14-year career as a hit songwriter, a producer that transitioned into scoring music for multiple TV networks and movies. His songwriting/producing credits include 6x’s platinum, T-Pain’s – “Buy You A Drank” to music in films such as “Pitch Perfect 2”, “Think Like A Man Too” and Kevin Hart’s “About Last Night” to scoring for numerous TV networks and shows on MTV, FOX, Bravo, ESPN, TNT, VH1, NBC and countless others.

Isaac’s next career venture took him into the family business as President and C.E.O of Isaac Hayes Enterprises, managing his late father Isaac Hayes’ Estate. His responsibilities include the management of the name, image and likeness rights as well as overseeing the growth and preservation of an iconic Isaac Hayes brand as well as the artistic commercialization of a massive terminating and unreleased masters and publishing catalog.

Isaac’s passion for his community and his hometown of Atlanta, Ga. most recently propelled him into the political arena where he championed and served to help elect Atlanta’s 60th Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. His fearless and savvy use of social media and deep knowledge of Atlanta politics ignited the spark that created a social media and political movement of citizens, activists and entertainment community leaders that brought the election and it’s urgent importance directly to voters which changed the trajectory of a closely contested race.

With multiple television, film, music and political ventures in the works including an all-new 2019 SHAFT film currently in post-production. The future is full of surprises for Isaac Hayes III. Stay tuned.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle I faced is people assuming that I don’t know the businesses I’m in, be it politics, music publishing or social media marketing.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Not taking myself too seriously and remaining infinitely open minded to new ways of thinking and new ways of doing things.
