Today we’d like to introduce you to Isaac Nunn.
Isaac, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
This creative journey started in my undergrad years. I was a graphic design major with a brand your project, and from that suburban was born. I knew I wanted to make a difference in the world, but I had to start with my community first, so I reached out and connected to as many people as I could get around me. Each session and connection led me here.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road, but honestly, what artist doesn’t have bumps and obstacles in the street? I would say the biggest obstacle that I’ve dealt with was myself. I’m always thinking I’m not good enough or judging my work from others. Just recently, I’ve been learning to remove myself as an obstacle.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am all things creative my primary medium is photography and videography. I obsess over fashion and music photography, and growing up, I collected fashion magazines and cut out my favorite shots, poses, typography layouts and collage them together to bring me inspiration. I love to incorporate many mediums and styles into my work to give it a unique look or feel.
Most proud project so far is collaborating with Muralist Erica Chisolm on a beautiful project titled “Black Man Self Love,” where I had the honor of selecting models and creating the photo inspiration for that project.
