Hi Isis, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Divine Soul was a thought in my brain that I was able to turn into a reality on May 31st, 2020. Before launching DS I was using my kitchen as a laboratory for experimenting. I fell in love with putting together formulas and researching different herbs & flowers and what their benefits were for skin and hair.
I got tired of being a product junky and using all if these products from the beauty supply store that weren’t really helping but instead doing the opposite and causing harm to my skin and hair. I decided to embark on my journey of using the gifts of Mother Nature to create products that would bring out the divinity in everyone.
I started out with three products, a body butter, hair butter and skin cleanser and after seeing how many people fell in love with just those three products I knew I had just begun something great and that I should keep going. I sold out of all my products within the first week of my launch and since then, my entrepreneurial spirit has kept me going and reaching for the stars.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road whatsoever, I’ve gone through many ups and downs along the way but that’s something I expected to happen. From the being of the pandemic to now, I’ve gotten Covid 19 twice which caused me to have to stop production and take a few pauses in business to recover.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Divine Soul specializes in using the gifts from Mother Nature to bring out the divinity of everyone with our Ayurvedic herb & plant-powered skin and hair products.
I am most proud about the numerous amounts of people I’ve been able to help along their skin and hair care journeys.
I’ve had a customer reach out to me and tell me that my turmeric sopa cleared away their athletes foot!
Divine Soul has reached international regions of the world including Spain and Canada and we look forward to covering the whole globe!
We offer an array of products such as body butter, hair butter, herbal scalp and hair oils, Ayurvedic shampoo and conditioner, skin serums, our best selling Nebu Sun Bar (turmeric, ginger and honey soap bar) hair tea for scalp inflammation and the list continues to grow.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I’ve learned the importance in rest and stillness. It’s okay to sit still and take a break! There’s no need to always be in motion. Self Care is productive too.
