We are full scope private Optometric practice specializing in Orthokeratology and specialty contact lens fittings. Being bi-lingual, Dr. Horak caters to both the English and Spanish speaking communities. Dr. Horak has been practicing for over 20years and has been in his private practice for over 7 years He is also the chief consultant for Cobb County Schools and helped implement a screening protocol for children ages 4 and up.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have grown consistently over past 7 years. Our main struggle currently is with Smyrna City. We are being relocated via imminent domain due to the construction of the stadium. We will be building a new 3000 sq. ft. facility in Marietta in the near future.
Eyes R Us Family Optical – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Being bilingual has helped us cater to a very large Hispanic population. It is so much easier to be able to explain any eye condition to our patients without the need of an interpreter. We also specialize in CRT/Ortho K which is molding of the corner to allow our patients to be glasses free. These are custom designed molds that are worn overnight to reshape the eye and correct for nearsightedness.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success when we are able to help patients leave the office seeing clearer than ever. Our success is based on giving our patients the customer service they need and cater to individual needs.
