Meet JaBree Mason of JM Home Repair in Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to JaBree Mason.

JaBree, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, I got my foot in the door in 2012. I approached a man in a parking lot of the Kroger near my home, I saw he was a contractor by the decals on his pickup, and hoping he was the owner of the company, I told him, “Sir, I don’t know the most in regards to contracting work but I’m a fast learner, I work hard and I’m in need of a stable income right now,” He gave me his name and number and put me to work. Over the years since then I’ve worked for him and gained knowledge hands-on but unfortunately, nothing lasts forever. So I found myself looking for work again, I held several different full-time positions in various industries but none of them could hold my attention for very long with the repetitious actions everyday or pay what I felt I was worth. Eventually, I was given an opportunity to show what I was capable of doing and I picked up traction from that point. I quit my job, started JM Home Repair and haven’t looked back since. Everyday learning and evolving my craft and trying to grow my business so that maybe one day, I could be that blessing to someone else who may need it.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. It had it’s ups and downs, some startups and pauses. I’ve had some relationships sour, some doors closed, and opportunities lost but I will say that it I believe everything happened just the way it should’ve to get me to the position I needed to be.

We’d love to hear more about JM Home Repair.
If I had to pick, I’d say I specialize in plumbing and light electrical work but I do just about everything you can think of when it comes to your home. Appliance installation, TV Mounting, Security Camera Installation, Drywall/Sheetrock work, Painting, etc. I believe what sets me apart from others is my honesty and also the fact that I don’t provide excuses, only results.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I have few plans for the future, I don’t wanna give too much but I will say I plan on expanding a bit and involving more personnel coming soon!
